The Opportunity to become a Bizen ware Artist
I was born in the town of the Bizen ware Inbe, and lived a life with Bizen ware around the house when I was young. In addition, I loved manufacturing and wanted to get such work. It is Bizen ware that became familiar manufacturing for me.
Charm of the Bizen ware
Bizen ware is only burnt the clay by kiln. I feel simple and primitive charm in it.
Features of my work
I am a soil “greek”. I put various types of clay together, and fire it and see what happens. I repeated the experiment up until now. I have prepared clay for several months, and devised color development for more than 3000 patterns, I believe that I am one of the top-class persons to have the passion of clay and soil in Bizen.
Policy
Make the most out of the material(Clay). The expression of the fired works varies according to soil, So I make efforts how draw out the taste of each soil.
Future
Bizen ware has a long history and I feel joy that I can participate in one page of the long history. Bizen ware is limited in material. Therefore I want to value it, not only the merely novel, but also to think about design on the basis of history and original implication.
Origin of Ceramic Stamp
I made in combination and monogram, “T” and “K” of initial.
